2002 Custom Shop 1958 Standard Figuredtop Re-Issue
This purchase came out of the need for a really thick mid-range sound to fill out "Ezra The Band." A good friend loaned me a Les Paul Black Beauty after it was suggested by Darryl Swann (Producer Extraordinaire) to try a Les Paul in the band. (I didn't own my own.) The thickness and power of the guitar was perfect. It really made the sound of the band bigger and heavier. I didn't really want to give the Les Paul back, but I did the right thing and went out and got my own. This 58 Standard Re-Issue is an awesome Les Paul. It has a really thick, chuncky neck that really adds extra beef to the sound. The top is also gorgeous. The Black Beauty was then returned to it's happy rightful owner.
